VIRGINIA: At a joint meeting of the Augusta County Board of Supervisors and the City of Staunton Council, held on Monday, November 24, 2008, at 5:30 p.m., at the Government Center, Verona, Virginia, and in the 233rd year of the Commonwealth….

Welcome was provided by David R. Beyeler, Chairman of the Augusta County Board of Supervisors, and Lacy King, Mayor of the City of Staunton.

Garrett Moore, VDOT District Administrator, and Terry Short, VDOT Transportation Planner, provided overview of study. Purpose of study is to identify a “shared vision” for the Frontier Drive corridor.

Consultant (HNTB) provided results of study and options for consideration.

1. Spot Improvements 2. Land use (density) considerations 3. Access Management strategies 4. Operational changes 5. Developer right-of-way donations 6. Developer initiated improvements

ADJOURNMENT

There being no other business to come before the Board, Mr. Pyles moved, seconded by Mr. Coleman, that the Board adjourn.

Vote was as follows: Yeas: Howdyshell, Sorrells, Garber, Beyeler, Shifflett, Pyles and Coleman Nays: None Motion carried.
