UTILITY SCALE SOLAR PROJECTS—AUGUSTA COUNTY

Leslie Tate, Senior Planner, gave a brief over view of the vision statement of the Comprehensive Plan and the strategies of growth that drives the vision statement.

Ms. Tate discussed the Comprehensive Plan amendment changes and the Ordinance changes.

Ms. Tate reviewed the next steps to be taken as follows:

• Schedule a presentation on revenue share assessment and siting agreements.

• Staff would recommend the Board direct the Ordinance Committee to evaluate regulations for accessory, ground-mounted residential or commercial solar.

• Option 1: Authorize staff to advertise Comprehensive Plan and Ordinance amendments as discussed.

• Option 2: Have staff present amendments to the Board at a future staff briefing and request authorization to schedule for public hearing.
