VIRGINIA: At a joint meeting of the Augusta County Board of Supervisors and the Augusta County School Board, held on Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at 6:00 p.m., at the Government Center, Verona, Virginia, and in the 232nd year of the Commonwealth….
Welcome was provided by David R. Beyeler, Chairman of the Augusta County Board of Supervisors, and Chad D. Shomo, Chairman of the Augusta County School Board.
Enrollment projection provided by Eric Bond, Assistant Superintendent for Operations.
Capital financing report provided by Mark Lotts, Director of Business and Finance.
School Board priorities presented by Dr. Gary D. McQuain, Superintendent.
School salaries report presented by Bobby McAllister, Assistant Superintendent for Personnel.
General discussion by Board of Supervisors and School Board members. Board of Supervisors and School Board encouraged staffs to continue discussions regarding capital financing for relocation of School Board Administration offices to Government Center with further Board discussions during operating capital budget deliberations.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no other business to come before the Board, Mr. Pyles moved, seconded by Mr. Howdyshell, that the Board adjourn to a Special Meeting on Monday, February 4, 2008, at 5:00 p.m., in the County Administrator’s Conference Room, at 5:00 p.m. subject to call of the Chairman.
Vote was as follows: Yeas: Howdyshell, Sorrells, Garber, Beyeler, Shifflett, Pyles and Coleman Nays: None Motion carried.
